Mystery Portafilters - Can you help identify?
« on: June 14, 2010, 06:21:27 AM »
Folks,

My used (eBay) E61 machine came with 4 portafilters.  2 were proper, original equipment to the machine, and two do not work with my Bunn ES-1A. The locking 'ears' are at a different angle than the stock ones, and my standard 58mm baskets are just a tiny bit too large to fit in them.  I'd ultimately like to sell them, but it would be helpful if I could first find out what machine could accommodate them.  I'd appreciate anyone's input.

Won't be specific, but this link might help narrow it down. Look for 56 & 57mm PF's: http://www.espro.ca/faq-calibrated-tamper/

Not that it means anything, but I did see a Rio with a handle shaped like that.

I found this info on CafeParts.com - looks like it could be the answer:

Manufacturer     Part No.
Ascaso             AS..59
Ascaso             BF.242
Brasilia     00028.0.10.04
Brasilia     05016.6.00.09
Gev                    529.042
LF                    1165009
Nuova Ricambi     700721
Oemmeci              26-140

More reading/research to do, but this LOOKS like a match at 1st glance.
