I think you will like it a lot.
Granted there are those who complain, oh there is not enough control, this, that, but it's an easy roaster to get going on and very forgiving if you make a mistake.
If you make a BAD mistake and set the thing on fi re, unlike some of the others, it will probably survive with little to show for it.
I have had a Behmore for years and have put hundreds of pounds of coffee thru it and it's still running strong.
One thing to keep in mind though. Although it is 'rated' for being able to do a pound of coffee, many folks have stated they had problems doing that much.
When it's spanking new and if you have a good voltage to it, it won't have any problems but if it's dirty, lower voltage, aging, etc, you might want to go with 12 oz to 14 oz on the 1 lb setting. This ensures that you have plenty of time to actually complete your roast if for whatever reason it might stall a bit or take a bit longer than you anticipated.
