The best coffee cup I've ever had
« on: October 25, 2010, 08:15:07 PM »
When I was in Milwaukee B|Gadget had a new cup made by GCBC member J.Jirehs Roaster.  I simply liked that cup so I asked JJ if he'd make me a couple.  I got them about 2 weeks ago and I can say without doubt it's the best cup I've owned.  Very well made, fits in a car cup holder and keeps the coffee hot for quite a while.

Thanks Bill!!

I've been looking for a new cup ever since Mrs T broke my favorite. I want a 12 - 16 ounce cup, preferably in a tankard style. It must have an inward curving top lip - anyone who's seen me trying to drink coffee knows how much I spill, and the inward curve pretty much eliminates the problem.

JJ Roasters (Bill) has made me several cups, a drum, a communion set, and several mugs I have, and have given, as gifts. He has a wonderful ministry with his Pottery along with his lovely wife Denise.

Send him a pm and he can refer you too his web site "Stray Clay." You'll be glad you did! Most of all they are GREAT PEOPLE.  Jim

funny.. we have been talking about making more travel mugs... maybe a slightly different profile but still cup holder friendly..  I just got back from a whirl wind tour of the west half of the country and while I was gone our little car with a minor fender bender got totaled by the insurance company so I am car shopping then fall cleaning the studio.. that said.. I cant promise Christmas mugs but we will work up a distro deal...  as some of you know we are pretty tight about no super custom work but we will have a pretty good selection of imagery and etc and a lot of our mugs have a inward roll at the top, it helps keep spills on corners down.. I think

the web site is down for repair and my brother is very busy so repair is slow... too many attacks, I need a shopping cart update..
